Merseyside Tory Standards Slipping

8th May 2018

There was a time when politicians were viewed as bastions of public respect and dignity. However, judging by the filthy language used by Jade Marsden, Deputy Chair of Merseyside Tories, on Twitter that time has passed.

Apparently an object was thrown through the window of her home, while her baby daughter was in the room. Of course this would have been very disturbing and is totally unacceptable criminal conduct. She reported the incident to police on Sunday evening according to the press.

In a tweet, which was later deleted, she said whoever had thrown the brick was “in serious trouble” and tagged Liverpool’s Labour group.

Nevertheless, her abusive tweet holding foul language was also seen on Southport Conservative’s twitter.

Of course there is no excuse for vandalism. However, by the same token there can be no excuses for foul posts on social media made by leading Conservative politicians.

Politicians should set good examples.
