Meet The Southport Artist Louise Allister

Louise studied Art & Design at Southport College after leaving school, then went on to study 3-Dimensional Design at Middlesex University. Louise has worked off an on as a freelance artist since leaving University completing Murals both commercially in bars and privately in homes, and also worked on stage set design at Southport theatre.

Louise said:

“I started window painting when I began working at Oddbins Wine Merchants, winning national merchandising prizes within the company and travelling to different branches of Oddbins in the North West to paint & design their windows & help with merchandising.

I have been designing and painting windows for the last 16 years and still enjoy the impermanence of the art (although I always remember to take photographs).

I have worked at the Inn Beer Shop for the last 3 years (since Oddbins became insolvent) and enjoy redesigning the windows regularly for the different seasons and events”.
