Worried residents in Churchtown have taken to social media to ask if their local medical centre is burning down.
a strong smell of acrid smoke could be seen and smelt across the village this evening coming from the Churchtown Medical centre.
Emergency services were about to be called when a quick thinking residents investigated the cause to find a man was burning wood at the back of the building.
The area is not covered by CCTV and is a blind spot for anyone looking to get up to no good.
The cause of the fire turned out to be a small and controlled bonfire of smouldering timber and residents have been assured that it will be out soon.
