MATCH PREVIEW | AFC Telford V Southport

28th October 2017
PREVIEW | AFC Telford V SouthportSouthport travel to Telford United today chasing the three points they came so close to gaining in last week’s emotional rollercoaster against Gainsborough Trinity.

The Sandgrounders thought they had claimed their first win since the start of September when Kaiman Anderson fired them ahead late on, but were subjected to last gasp heartbreak for the second match in a row.

New manager Kevin Davies has had his first full week to work with his squad, and he will have been encouraged by the second half performance in his first game in charge.

Substitute Anderson was particularly impressive and will be hoping to be handed a first start for the club sooner rather than later.

Telford lie only two points outside the play-off spots and haven’t lost at home since they were beaten 5-1 by league leaders Harrogate in early September. They boast a host of recent ‘Port players, with Jordan Lussey, Ross White, Jonathan Royle and John Marsden all currently plying their trade for the Bucks.
