A man who killed his brother after he tried to stab him during a drink-fuelled day of fighting in Southport was jailed for nearly five years.

Mark killed his brother after he tried to stab him during a drink-fuelled day of fighting in Southport was jailed for nearly five years. Wayne Lowe(33) was found dead at his house on Linaker Street, Southport, on September 7 2014.

The brothers became engaged in a violent confrontation after consuming alcohol. Wayne Lowe sustained multiple injuries after being hit with a chair.

Today Mark was today jailed for four years and eight months, the judge said: “Mark was remorseful and ‘genuinely devastated’ by the death of his brother and what he had done to his family”.
