UPDATE: Manager of ‘Fun 4 Kidz’ arrested on child porn is dead (Farnbrough Road School Southport)
Farnbough Road parents have today been notified that the manager of ‘Fun 4 Kidz’ arrested on child porn offenses last march has died.
Debbie Stephens Chief Executive said: “We write to inform you of the death of a former employee of Fun 4 Kidz, Gareth Prout, who passed away last September”.
“We have since been informed by the police that Gareth died of natural causes”.
“A police investigation into allegations against Gareth was forced to conclude due to his sudden death”.
“However, the police have assured us that the alleged offences have been investigated as fully as possible and focused on offences that were believed to have occurred away from school premises”.
“We appreciate this may cause parents and carers concern. If you would like to discuss this with someone from Fun 4 Kidz please contact Chief Executive, Debbie Stephens or alternatively you can contact Adrian Antell, Head teacher at Farnborough Road Junior School or Jenny Taylor, Head teacher at Farnborough Road Infant School”.

Manager of ‘Fun 4 Kidz’ arrested on child porn (Farnbrough Road School Southport)
The manager of ‘Fun 4 Kidz’ After School club at Farnbrough Road Junior School in Southport has been suspended.
The manager who’s name remains on Fun 4 Kidz website, was arrested after police seized his computer and found hundreds of child porn images on it.
A spokesperson for Fun 4 Kidz said: A male employee of Fun 4 Kidz has been arrested as part of an investigation into the downloading and distributing of indecent images of children.
The person involved has been suspended from his role by Fun 4 Kidz pending further inquiries.
The individual has been arrested on suspicion of offences that do not relate to any physical contact by him against any children.
We can assure you that all safeguarding guidelines have been followed at all times in our provision.

As this is an ongoing investigation, we have no further information at this time.
