Merseyside Police is appealing for help to trace a 29-year-old man from Liverpool who is wanted on recall to prison.

Mark Dominic Johnston was sentenced to 13 years in prison in 2010 after being convicted of criminal damage – recklessly endangering life following an incident in Southport in July 2009.

Johnston and two other men left a grenade outside Liverpool FC legend Kenny Dalglish’s Birkdale home in failed attempt to attack a Southport businessman.

Johnston was released on licence in January 2016.

Johnston is wanted by police after he failed to comply with his license release conditions and was recalled to prison in February 2017.

Johnston is described as white, of medium build, around 6ft tall, with dark brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone who has seen Johnston, or who knows of his whereabouts, is asked to call Merseyside Police on the 101 number.

People with information can also contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
