On Thursday 26th November a man went into the Queenscourt Hospice shop on Botanic Road and purchased one item with what turned out to be a fake Royal Bank of Scotland £20 note.

The man told a member of staff he was visiting his grandmother in Churchtown with his wife who was from Falkirk.

The man is described as, 6ft”, slim, speaking with a Somerset accent, aged around 30-years-old and appeared very nervous and edgy.

Staff at the store said: “We just want to make everyone aware because if they can do this to Queenscourt Hospice they can do this to anyone”.
