Man rescued from Flat Fire in Southport

Fire crews from Formby, Southport and Bootle & Netherton Community Fire stations attended a fire in a Flat on Weld Parade in Southport at 20:45.

The fire involved a quantity of food which was severely damaged by fire causing severe smoke damage to the flat.

The 60yr old Male occupier was rescued from the flat and given first aid by Fire crew before he was given a check up at the scene by Ambulance Service Paramedics. The Male refused Hospital treatment.

The Fire Service left the scene at 21:26
