Man jailed for 5 years after committing numerous burglaries in Sefton

Yesterday (6th November), we welcomed the sentencing of a 34 year old man from Sefton in relation to a number of burglary offences.

Carl Parkinson of no fixed address, was sentenced to 5 years in prison for four burglary offences and other theft related incidents from September and October this year in the Sefton area.

Detective Inspector Andy McCourt from Operation Castlesaid: “I hope this sentencing shows the public that we’ll continue to pursue prolific offenders and those committing crime in our communities.

“We rely on information sharing and the vigilance of the public, our partners and local businesses in coming forward to help us investigate all crimes and bring offenders to justice.

“Burglaries leave victims feeling vulnerable and often alone. However, we’ll keep working to put offenders behind bars and make our communities as safe as they can be.”

If you’ve also been a victim of crime, please call us on 101 or DM @MerPolCC so we can investigate accordingly.
