Merseyside Police can confirm the man who was found dead on Lord Street, Southport yesterday (Monday 11 March) has been formally identified and was a 47-year-old man of no fixed address.
His next of kin have been informed.
A Home Office Post Mortem has taken place and the results have been withheld pending toxicology and histology reports.
