Man arrested after car chase ended in Southport 

A man was arrested in Southport after a stolen car involved in a police chase was abandoned outside Norwood Primary School at around 2.45pm, Monday 12 September.

The car was later abandoned on Norwood Crescent, near to Norwood Primary School, following a police chase including a police helicopter.

ots-southport-helicopterA Lancashire Police spokesperson confirmed that at least one man was arrested.

A Hartwood Road resident told OTSNews.co.uk “A man came out of my neighbour’s garden as I was going to bring my washing in.”

“It appeared as though he was garden-hopping and he ran into Norwood primary school.

“An area near the school was been cordoned off and jewelry has been recovered”
