Major police presence on scene at Scarisbrick Hotel

Swarms of police officers have descended on the Scarisbrick Hotel this evening.

As fancy dress partygoers adorned in circus clown makeup watched on under the hotel’s makeshift smoking area, police hurriedly surrounded the hotel just after 6pm.

3 vehicles attended the area surrounding the hotel, with officers quickly jumping out and investigations the alleyway to the right of the hotel this evening.

While the nature of the investigation is currently unknown, one eyewitness suggested that the officers appeared to be searching for a suspect.

They left the scene just after 6.30pm.
