Maggie the Maverick a mysterious misunderstood moggy

    By ots13th April 2017

Woodlands –  Maggie the Maverick a mysterious misunderstood moggy

Every so often Woodlands Animal Sanctuary gets the privilege of caring for an extra special character.  Maggie is definitely one of these characters – she came to Woodlands Animal Sanctuary on 12th July 2016 when her family had to move to a new home and could not take her with them. This is one of the most common reasons that cats need to be rehomed and it is unfortunately due to no fault of their own. For the last 7 months Maggie has watched all of her neighbours, who came in after her, leave before her to their new loving forever homes.

Unfortunately for Maggie she is black and white which, if you are a regular supporter of Woodlands Animal Sanctuary, you will know takes on average 70% longer to rehome than any other colour.  Alex, one of the Animal Care Managers at Woodlands said “Maggie is a unique and very misunderstood cat who really needs someone who can look past her coat colour and feisty side to love her for how and who she is.”

The whole team at Woodlands are desperate for Maggie to find a loving forever home and family to call her own, who are happy to give her the space and care that she requires. Maggie is a spirited cat who does enjoy attention, however she is also a truly feisty feline. She does not require the affections we humans like to impose on our pet cats and so she will let you know, in no uncertain terms, when she has had enough.  This being said, Maggie deserves another chance at happiness with her own family.  If you think you could be the type of person Maggie may tolerate in her life, then please get in touch with the team at Woodlands Animal Sanctuary either by calling 01704 828293 or emailing info@animalsanctuary.org.uk

Due to Maggie’s personality there will be conditions on the type of home that will be considered for her.  Maggie does not socialise well with other cats and so if you already have a cat in your life Maggie will not be the companion you are looking for.  Woodlands have already stated that if a suitable home cannot be found for Maggie she will be allowed to move into the stable block and live alongside the ponies, donkeys, sheep and goats who already have their home there.

For more information about anything that has been featured in this report please call Woodlands on:  01704 828293

Think of our wildlife and please buy a bell for your cat.
