Lord Street in Bloom Volunteers awarded for their volunteer work

Last night at the Southport Ambassador Awards at the Southport Theatre Lord Street in Bloom Volunteers won an Ammie for there volunteer work in the town.

Our group which was set up 4 years ago by Pauline Morris have gone from having just 2 volunteers to 12 dedicated volunteers each week.

Sharon Gregory-Wareing and Rose Tapper went along to collect the award.

Sharon says ” This is a Fantastic Achievement for all our volunteers this was the icing on the cake after scooping an Level 5 Outstanding Award at NWIB Awards last week, Thank you to everyone that voted for us this year”

“Also Thanks to all the local businesses Sootys Plants, ASDA Southport, Sainsburys, Dobbies, Southport Hoteliers, Southport Bid, The Rotary Club of Southport, Southport Area Committee that have supported us this year with all important funding”.
