A town centre church has been condemned for not letting a homeless man get shelter.
The man who has been sleeping rough in the enclave of the entrance to Christ Church on Lord Street for the last week has made a makeshift home in the doorway but has been snubbed by church officials and congregation members.
One cafe worker sent a photo in to OTS News to say they were stunned when they saw church members walking past and ignoring the man before going inside to get warm.
The worker said “this is disgraceful they are supposed to be kind religious people who care but they don’t care.
I don’t believe in God and I still did a good thing and got the man a hot drink to make sure he was ok.”
