Local MG Club Meeting
On the 18th of August W.L.MG.O.C monthly meeting at Briars Hall Hotel and for once we actually had a summers day and a wonderful warm evening. So with the good weather the MG’s turned out in force with 26 cars and 34 members enjoying the fine late summer evening (there would have been more only at this time of the year it is the holiday season and a few members are away enjoying their jollys).
So with the car park full of MG’s as far as the eye could see the line up was 1 MG6,1 Magnette,3 modern MGF’s and also 3 TF’s,2 RV8’s,7 MGB’s,2 TC’s,2 TF’s,3MGB-GT’s,1 ZR and 1 Midget.
We all stayed out enjoying the late summer warmth of the evening having a chat and a drink until darkness fell when we moved inside to carry on with the meeting and also have a paper plane throwing event to see who’s plane could fly the furthest.
With the even the ladies having a go it was a close battle to see who’s plane could fly the furthest but in the end there was one outright winner and that was Ron’s rocket.
Ron seen here being congratulated by our chairman Nigel.
All the members of the club would like to wish our secretary and stalwart of the club Cam Cunningham a speedy recovery after his surgery this week and hope he is out enjoying his MGA in the not to distant future.
If you like socialising, car runs whilst having a bit of fun with like minded people and have a classic car you would be most welcome to join the W.L.MG.O.C we meet every third Thursday 8.00pm at Briars Hall Lathom or check out our Facebook page (West Lancs MG Owners) or even have a look at are website www.westlancsmg.co.uk
