Local children’s pop group helping to grant magical wishes

CD Music Academy unleashes the amazing talent of a local children’s pop group called Kaleidoscope, launching their first single in aid of Make-A-Wish UK.

Kaleidoscope are a group of six girls from the ages of 8 to 11 yrs old who are all vocal students at CD Music Academy based in Rufford, Lancashire.  They all live within a radius of 10 miles of each other. Amy 8yrs old, Phoebe 9, Molly 10, Maddy 10,  Milly 11 and Keira 11.  All the girls met when I set up a children’s choir rehearsing every Tuesday evening.  Their chemistry was so good, that I decided to keep the group as it was and not expand it.  They have become such good friends andhave worked really hard.  They are all so motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated. They are rehearsing as a group twice a week which includes private lessons with myself and they have a choreographer Portia to help with their dance routine ready for their release of ‘Make A Wish’ song.

I decided I would write a song for Make A Wish UK and give the children an experience they’d never had before of what it would be like to record and video an original song in a studio, because of a disappointment that was promised to them to go to Palma in Majorca by a gentleman but it didn’t materialise.  I’m sure they have enjoyed this experience more so. I have received so much positive feedback from all the engineers concerned.  “I can’t believe how focused and motivatedthey are”  “They are a joy to work with and so well mannered.” What amazing kids they are.”  They have also been asked to perform at many other exciting events running up to Christmas (they have a very busy diary).

They have also had a video produced which will be released on you tube at the beginning of November and will be shown at many local Primary schools the children attend.  We are looking for as much help andpublicity as we can get and we are really hoping you can help us do this by including some of the details I have included and their picture.  We have three radio interviews coming up and they were interviewed on Coast 1079 a couple of weeks ago.  The song was played on the Billy Butler show on radio Merseyside to a great response.

CD Music Academy is a unique, friendly and supportiveenvironment which was established in 2004.  Tuition in piano, vocals, guitar and theory.  Abrsm/Rockschool exams can be taken from grades 1 to 8 with excellent pass rates.  We offer many opportunities to perform all year round in a variety of events including our own regular shows.  Encouragement, training and support is always given especially to those who want to pursue a music career.  We are really excited to be starting our new Kidzzone singing groups/performances starting from age 5+ and our vocal themed workshops.
