Leave’ campaign breaching commitment by campaigning at Woodvale Rally

The local ‘Leave’ campaign are breaking the national commitment by both sides of the EU Referendum campaigns to have no significant campaigning presence as a mark of respect for the murdered MP Jo Cox.. They have a campaigning stall at Southport’s Woodvale Rally today.

Local ‘Remain’ campaigners cancelled their normal Saturday campaigning stall on Lord Street out of respect for the murdered Yorkshire MP and in accordance with guidelines handed out by the national campaigns.

The national committees of both sides of the referendum agreed yesterday that the only activities to be permitted until Monday were low-key activities such as delivering leaflets.
