Late night smash closes Tithebarn Road as car written off

An accident black spot in Southport had claimed another victim.

Police closed off part of Tithebarn Road and Sussex Road last night after a car was smashed during a road traffic collision.

One car was written off in the accident at the junction, which had seen multiple incidents occur in the last year.

Police were called and closed off part of the road while debris was cleared.

An investigation into the cause of the incident is now underway.
