Last sunrise of 2015 over Woodvale’s troubled Woodlands

    By Pat Regan31st December 2015

Vivid colours this morning as we see the last rising sun of the year, lighting up the wooded area in Ainsdale Southport.

Sadly, the previously well-maintained Woodvale Woodland Project (WWP) outdoor class room area within the woods is now broken, rotting and neglected.

This was the environmental project on council-owned Woodvale land that has previously seen such controversy, with the charity – based mismanagement that surrounded it.

Please see this link for details…

Ainsdale’s Tory Cllr, (and WWP director) Ted Hartill, had happily bragged to WWP volunteers that he was using this community project to promote himself politically. ted1Following mismanagement and dangerous misdirection WWP volunteers (who had devoted 9-months work to the scheme) were outrageously banned from the project they had effectively created, after some rather nauseating backyard, political engineering, with the council.

Oh course, this unacceptable fiasco created by Cllr Hartill’s own conduct and Sefton Council’s appalling on-going lethargy remains ‘unresolved’ at the time of writing.
