Police officers swooped on a town centre fast food restaurant this evening after reports a person of interest was seen in the area.
Two police cars from Merseyside Police swooped on the McDonalds Ocean Plaza site this evening just after 6pm.
Officers set about checking car registration plates seemingly on the search for a person of interest.
One passer by who sent this photo into OTS News said:
“I had to laugh at first I thought they were desperate for food like the rest of us but I saw officers checking plates and looking into cars so they were clearly searching for someone”
An official update is expected from Merseyside Police in due course.
