West Lancashire Councillor Liz Savage was elected in her Ashurst, Skelmersdale, Ward on the same night that she polled third place in Southport.
Councillor Savage has now been chosen as the new Deputy Mayor of West Lancashire, with her consort being Labour Councillor Noel Delaney. Councillor Savage has previously served as shadow spokesperson for Transformation and Resources and was a member of the Executive Overview and Scrutiny Committee as well as serving as Secretary of the Lancashire Area Labour Party.
