Labour Party fights to stop its members from having a vote

The Labour Party nationally is desperately trying to stop Southport Labour members having a vote in their leadership contest.

It has been announced today that Mr Justice Hickinbottom in the High Court has just ruled that all Labour members who joined the party prior to the election process starting are allowed a vote. This is the opposite of what the Labour Party wanted to happen.

So, while Jeremy Corbyn is basking in the near-certainty of sweeping to victory courtesy of the Establishment, the Labour Party nationally is working out how to stop its members voting, including taking the matter to the Court of Appeal. In Labour-speak this is called ‘Democracy’.
