UPDATED: KFC Raw chicken basks in the Southport Sun

A Southport businessman was angry when he spotted an Audi parked over the disabled bay at KFC Ocean Plaza, Southport, on bank holiday Monday.

Stephen Hoskins, took a closer look at the car and to his horror there was hundreds of raw chicken inside the black Audi.

Stephen Hoskins  said: “Two trays of hundreds of portions of raw chicken on the back seat of KFC area managers car waiting in sunshine before he drove it to another KFC store in Southport”

“How long does it take for chicken to go bad when left in a hot car?”

“The car was also parked blocking two disabled parking bays at KFC Ocean Plaza”

Janet Cox, Head of Health, Safety & Environment said: “This is completely unacceptable and goes against our strict procedures. None of the chicken was sold and it has now been discarded, and we’ve re-emphasised our guidelines to all team members.”

On social media, Janet Sutton said:  “Report it to health and safety am sure they be interested”

Natalie Drummond: “With the speed of service at the drive through the chicken is months old by the time you get it anyway”

Becca Jones said: “This is probably why you were sick last time”
