Judge jails Southport Mum for 3 years after biting woman’s ear

Liverpool Crown court heard how the incident took place at Birkdale Labour Club on July 10 last year, which saw Samantha Hayes bite 51-year-old Jacqueline Campion’s ear at a darts tournament, Friday 17 June 2016.

Samantha Hayes’s fight was caught on CCTV during attack during a darts tournament at Birkdale Labour Club in Southport.

Hayes from Southport was jailed her for biting a chunk from another woman’s ear before spitting it onto the floor.

Nicholas Archer, defending, said Hayes was deeply ashamed of her attack.

Seconds earlier, Hayes started attacking the victim’s daughter – Kayleigh Aldred – for no reason, grabbing her by the hair.

When Ms Campion tried to push Hayes away from her daughter Hayes got her in a headlock and bit her right ear so severely that a complete section was torn off.

Hayes then spat it onto the ground, prosecutor Phil Astbury told Liverpool Crown Court.

Hayes pleaded guilty, admitting a charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Following the sentencing Samantha thanked all her Facebook friends for supporting her and sending best wishes messages for her today.

Samantha Hayes was jailed for 3 years.
