John Pugh dissects City Region Mayors but pushes for Northern Powerhouse and Devolution

Southport’s MP John Pugh MP has started the parliamentary session by leading a Westminster Hall debate on City Regions and ‘Metro Mayors’.

He reported that it is was bad enough that Southport is presently ruled by a Sefton Cabinet with no representation from Southport or any of the parties whose candidates are elected by Southport voters – but being ruled by one man in Liverpool would be even worse.
