JAMACIA’S ANSWER TO BILLY CONNELLY AT SOUTHPORT COMEDY NIGHT
Tony Hendrik’s comedy has a Caribbean flavour, an international perspective and is universally funny! He’s Jamaica’s greatest comedy export where he’s a household name, like Billy Connolly, due to the success of his TV shows ‘Paleface Point Of View’ and ‘Laugh Jamaica’.  This is a multi-award-winning comedian who’s also a big hit in this country too with appearances on BBC1′s The Crouches, BBC3′s Brain Candy and SKY’s Caribbean Uncovered.  Internationally he’s in huge demand and can regularly be found knocking them dead across the USA, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean.
“Has the charisma to be genuinely fascinating and deliver the laughs” Chortle
Simon Bligh has over 20 years experience and knows how to master a crowd bringing the big laughs to the room. A Perrier Award nominee and Time Out Comedy Award winner, he’s one of the most sought after comedians in the country with his fast-paced and manic storytelling style. He performs across the globe and has been a TV regular appearing on The Stand Up Show (BBC 2), “Friday Night Live” (ITV1), The Comedy Store and Live at Jongleurs (both Channel 5) and has even been on German and Dutch TV!
“A reliable pleasure” The Guardian
John Gavin started off his comedy career after his wife entered him for a stand up competition without his knowledge; a month later he found himself in the final of So You Think You’re Funny alongside acts like Seann Walsh and Josh Widdicombe. A year on from this John went on to win Scottish Comedian of the Year with tales of his wife and 3 young daughters. Since then he’s gone from strength playing all the top comedy clubs around the UK. He describes himself as ‘essentially a 6ft tattooed man who has been subjected to far too much High School Musical and pink fluffy toys’.
“Brilliant” Sunday Mail

Your MC for all the above is Southport born Damion Larkin, one of Britain’s most promising comedy talents, renowned for being a spontaneous and lovable host.

“One of the country’s top new comedians” BBC

Laugh Out Loud Comedy Clubs have a successful track record of bringing the very best comedy acts on the current club scene and breaking new talent on the cusp of stardom – we’re the people who previous bought Jason Manford, John Bishop, and Sarah Millican to Southport!

Each night will have four comedians: three side-splittingly funny acts and a Compere. Wherever possible there’ll be comedians off the telly from such shows as BBC2’s Mock The Week, Shooting Stars, Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats, BBC1’s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Have I Got News For You, QI, and Paramount’s Live at The Comedy Store.

Tickets are available from the Atkinson in person, over the phone and online.
