Dear Connoisseurs I am Jacques Aubergine, a lover of good food and drink. I have eaten at some very good restaurants and some very bad restaurants across the British Isles.

I have had service that was excellent and service that I just wouldn’t recommend!

‘Trattoria 51 Promenade’ is located in the heart of Southport, opposit Southport Theatre on the Promenade.

There is free parking on the road near to the restaurant after 6:00pm.

We were shown to our table, which was situated near to the kitchen, but ours was a late booking and we had not asked for a specific table so we did not mind.

It was a Thursday night and the restaurant was half full but not much ambiance because there was no background music playing. The only music came from the kitchen radio.

Prosecco Carpene Malvolti £19:95 or £4:95 per glass.

Sparkling Prosecco has a fine mousse, and a has sightly aromatic bouquet with a hint of apple in the background. In the mouth it is fresh balanced and lingering.
