NEW SCHEMES

M6 Junction 31 Preston

The southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for two nights for resurfacing from Thursday 31 January. The work will be carried out between 10pm and 6am, and a 50mph speed limit will be in place at other times.

A590 Newby Bridge to Lindal

Temporary traffic lights will be in place between 9am and 6.30pm while drainage work is carried out. The project will take place between Monday 28 January and Friday 8 February.

M6 Junction 31a Preston

The northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight while resurfacing work takes place. Two lanes of the section of motorway near to the junction will also be closed. The work will be carried out between 10pm on Wednesday 30 January and 6am on Thursday 31 January.

M6 Junctions 31a to 30 Preston

A one-mile stretch of the southbound M6 will be reduced to one-lane overnight while resurfacing work takes place. The work will be carried out from 10pm on Thursday 31 January until 6am on Friday 1 February.

ONGOING SCHEMES

A595 Whitehaven

Work is being carried out to the retaining wall on the A595 between the roundabout for Howgate and the junction for Lowca. Temporary traffic lights are in place, and the work is due to be completed by Sunday 3 February.

A66 Sandford

Temporary traffic lights will be in place while work is carried out to resurface the road, improve drainage and install a new safety barrier. The project is due to be completed in early February.
