We are appealing for information after a customer at a Liverpool Lime Street station pub spat in the face of a member of bar staff after being asked to leave due to his threatening and aggressive behaviour.

The incident occurred in the Wetherspoons pub at 7.36pm on Monday, 18 April.

Investigating officer PC Karen Mutch said: “The man was served by staff but became increasingly abusive and threatening. The manager was called, who asked him to leave the premises, at which point he became aggressive. When another staff member asked him to leave, he spat in her face before running out of the pub.”

After reviewing CCTV, officers are today issuing images of a man they want to speak to about the incident.

“The man in the images is someone who I think has information about this incident. Who is he?” added PC Mutch.
