Hungry driver blocks road to eat her lunch

A motorist has been branded as dangerous after parking on the busy promenade road to eat their lunch

The driver of the Toyota Prius, with children in the car, stopped on double yellow lines on the single lane carriageway on the promenade this afternoon to eat her lunch

Cars coming off the promenade roundabout were forced to slam on and overtake dangerously on the road after the car began to cause a blockage

One van driver who was stuck behind the car wrote to OTS to say “I thought they had broken down at first but had no warning lights on.

“It was hard to overtake because there were cars in the opposite direction.

“When I finally got past I looked to see and I couldn’t believe my eyes. She was eating her lunch and didn’t give a care in the world.”
