A traffic enforcement officer has revealed that he issued over a hundred parking tickets at Southport’s last home against Wrexham, Saturday January 2.

The traffic enforcement officer who wanted to remain anonymous said also quoted: “It’s a good day to hit target”.

A Haig Avenue resident said: “It’s mainly away supporters that get caught out, Beatty Road has a large grassed area which all cars get ticketed on”.

I have written to the club with idea of putting signs directing football traffic to Kew Park and ride, which is only 7 minutes walk from the ground….the club failed to reply or even acknowledge my letter”.

Is it not in the club’s interest to listen to local residents?”
