Hospital team say sorry for cancer patient’s complaint

Southport hospital bosses have issued a sincere apology after a cancer orient at the hospital complained to OTS News about his treatment.

James Smyth said he had had a terrible experience as an outpatient at the hospital and was compelled to write to OTS News to air his grievances.

the hospital have since profusely apologised.

Juliette Cosgrove, Director of Nursing explains: “We are very sorry that Mr. Smyth has had a poor experience.

“The staff involved regret causing distress.  We have shared the experience with the wider team, to ensure this does not happen to anyone else again.

“I will be contacting Mr. Smyth to offer a face to face meeting to discuss this further, if he wishes.”
