You may dispose of your real Christmas tree in the following ways;
- Free collection from Sefton Council for a limited period. The service is available for the four Saturdays between 10 January 2015 and the 31 January 2015. Collection requests will be processed on a first come, first served basis
- Drop your Christmas tree off at the events field which is just off Lifeboat Road car park, Formby. The Christmas trees will will be used to trap sand to help reduce the effects of erosion along the coastline
- Take your Christmas tree to the following household waste recycling centres; Foul lane, Southport, Irlam Road, Bootle, Altcar Road, Formby, Sefton Lane, Maghull. The sites are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day. Normal winter opening hours are 8am to 5pm.
Please note that trees must be free from decorations.
