Furious businesses along Hoghton Street say they fear losing thousands of pounds in income this week double yellow lines appeared outside their shops.
Businesses say they could lose significant income after the double yellow lines were introduced along considerable sections of the busy shopping and dining road.
The markings have been installed to deter problem parkers from obstructing access points along Hoghton Street.
One business owner claimed they hadn’t been consulted on the measures, while another said that the impact of a loss of parking places could have a negative effect on future income at a time when it is vital.
