Herald U8s unstoppable at Finch Farm
Southport’s Herald Juniors FC under 8’s last night picked up more silverware when they outclassed Ormskirk West End at Everton’s training ground in the Hightown final.
On a beautiful sunny evening in Liverpool – the game got off to a blistering start with top draw right footed finish from Bailey Kelly.
Herald sprayed the ball round the pitch like a team beyond their years. West End was awarded a controversial penalty just before the stroke of half time which was blazed over the crossbar.
An organised Herald team continued to press in the second half and within 10 minutes Finn Kearney doubled the lead with a cheeky lob over the West End Keeper from close range.
The victory was complete when Finn Kearney struck for the second time to make it 3-0.
Players and parents thanked manager Darren Vos for his time hard work and effort.
