Sefton Council is asking for the views of residents and business as it refreshes the Borough’s approach to tourism economy.
With the ever changing landscape of the tourism sector in the UK, especially that of coastal areas like Sefton, the Council is putting together a bespoke ten year long Visitor Economy Strategy which encompasses the whole Borough.
The refined strategy will seek to capitalise on Sefton’s unique and varied tourism offer ranging from the iconic Iron Men of Crosby to the bustling and grand shopping boulevards of Southport.
To ensure its Visitor Economy Strategy is successful, Sefton Council is calling on communities to have their say on what matters most to them.
Digital surveys for both residents and businesses are now open and will run until Friday 2nd May.

Cllr Paulette Lappin, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Economy and Skills, said:
“We want to hear about the experiences you feel are important to Sefton’s tourism offer, as well as the places you enjoy visiting with your friends and family, and why they are special to you.
“Our businesses have a unique understanding of what is good for their growth and what challenges they are being faced with. We’re keen to understand how reliant businesses are on tourism and what different visitor markets are important to them.”
The surveys take around five to 10 minutes to complete and responses are anonymised.
