Former Labour leader Tony Blair has donated £1,000 to the local campaigns in each of Labour’s 106 key target seats, telling candidates he is giving the money because he knows these are the only seats where the campaign will be won or lost.
Several Labour candidates have already declared they will not accept Tony Blair’s money as it is tainted by the hundreds of thousands of lives lost in the Iraq war which Blair started ‘on a lie’.
