    Has Boris gone totally Bananas?

By On The Spot News22nd May 2016

    Has Boris gone totally Bananas?

Southport Lib Dem Councillor Tony Dawson has nailed his colours firmly to the ‘Remain’ campaign for the European Union. He is particularly concerned at the increasingly wild allegations being churned out by former London Mayor Boris Johnson.

Councillor Dawson, who, despite heading up the Southport Borough campaign, also lived and worked in Spain and Germany for a number of years in his youth, says:

“It is becoming increasingly clear that the people who are trying to take Britain out of the EU are massively discredited.  Nigel Farage of UKIP has been exposed as having an offshore family trust and refusing to let people see his tax returns. So they replaced him as a front man with Boris Johnson. But many people have said that Boris Johnson’s late recruitment to the ‘Exit’ campaign for the EU is nothing to do with the issues and everything to do with him trying to replace Davids Cameron as Leader of a seriously- divided Conservative Party.

“In desperation, it seems, Boris Johnson has now gone completely Bananas. Making up stuff about non-existent EU Banana laws and trying to bring in Hitler on his side (when Hitler was originally trying to exclude Britain from Europe) seems a wild and dangerous approach to a serious issue.

“Michael Heseltine is a Conservative and not someone I agree with too often  – yet he sums Boris up completely here.
