There emergency services were called Hampton Road shortly after 8.30am to reports of smoke coming from the roof of the property, Wednesday 27 April 2016.
It is thought the fire was quickly extinguished by fire fighters.
Two appliance from Southport Community Fire station attended the scene along local police offices.
Emergency service remain at the scene. OTS News will have an update later today.
