Gym bosses say sorry after resort users BILLED despite closure

Despite their local gym being shut, dozens of Southport residents were stunned this week to find they have been charged for a full month of usage.

Bosses at Everlasting Gym have apologised to customers in Southport after they were debited for a full month of gym fees for November, despite the national lockdown shutting down all leisure facilities.

The error means customers won’t be charged throughout December or January to make up for the mistake.

A spokesperson said “unfortunately, we have experienced a technical error with Direct Debit collection on or after the 1st November 2020 and an incorrect amount was attempted – for which we express our sincerest regret.”
