Local health and social care watchdog Healthwatch Sefton have announced the guest speakers who will be appearing at the public launch event on the 1st October.
Amongst the guest speakers will be Fiona Clark, Chief Officer for NHS South Sefton Clinical Commissioning Group (SSCCG) and NHS Southport & Formby Clinical Commissioning Group (SFCCG), and Mark Gamsu, Visiting Professor in Citizenship and Health from Leeds Metropolitan University.
On unveiling the guest speakers, Healthwatch Sefton Manager Diane Blair said “We’re delighted that both Fiona and Mark have agreed to appear at our public launch event and support the work of Healthwatch Sefton”.
“Fiona and the Sefton Clinical Commissioning Groups have been very supportive of Healthwatch Sefton and continue to work with us to ensure the views of local residents are taken into account” said Diane. “Professor Mark Gamsu is visiting us from Leeds Metropolitan University, and has over 20 years experience in the voluntary, local government and health and social care sectors”.
Other speakers at the event will include members of the Healthwatch Sefton staff team who will talk about the new Signposting & Information service, how residents can share their experiences, and how to make a formal complaint about a service. There will also be an opportunity for local people to tell Healthwatch Sefton what matters to them when it comes to health and social care services.
The public launch event will take place on Tuesday 1st October at Crosby Civic Hall – exactly six months after the organisation was established. Residents are invited to come along for refreshments from 10am for a 10.30am start. A light lunch will be provided for attendees after the event.
