Greenbank School confirms Year 10 case of virus

12th October 2020

Parents of pupils at Greenbank High School have been alerted that a confirmed case of the coronavirus has been discovered in Year 10.

Forty pupils across the Year 10 class have been asked to isolate for 14 days as teachers suspect they have come into contact with the confirmed case.

School officials say they are closely monitoring the situation and have spoken with Public Health England over what the next steps will be.

Worried parents shared the alert with OTS News to say they are concerned the virus is spreading quickly throughout schools in the town.

Greenbank High remains fully open and operational and parents have been told unless their child has been specifically contacted, they must still attend classes.
