GB & Ireland will take a team of Walker Cup rookies into battle against the USA at Royal Lytham this weekend.
Today Wednesday 9th September team GB & Ireland were getting some Links golf practice around Southport’s most exclusive links course.
GB&I have won four out of the last five Walker Cups played on home soil – and the links course venue and the British players’ familiarity with the very peculiar challenges thrown up by links golf may offer a slight advantage.
Tickets – Royal Lytham & St Annes GC
The Walker Cup takes place on Saturday and Sunday at Royal Lytham.
Tickets are £30 per day for adults, under-16s free if accompanied by a responsible ticket holding adult. Public car parks are free.
