Good Samaritan who saved pensioner and dog from Rottweiler attack sought

A unknown Good Samaritan is being hunted after he helped a Southport pensioner in her traumatic hour of need.

Margaret Hall was out walking with her beloved dog Fizz in Marshside when they were both attacked by a stray Rottweiler on Friday 21 April.

After fighting off the attack, an unknown man helped Margaret and Fizz to a local vets where sadly the elderly dog had to be put down.

The attack is the latest in a string of incidents in the Elswick Road area of Marshside and a number of dog owners have reported similar vicious attacks.
