Galloway’s set to host Low Vision Roadshow

Sefton based sight loss charity, Galloway’s Society for the Blind, are hosting a Low Vision Roadshow on Tuesday 31st October at Galloway’s in Southport between 10am and 2.30pm.

Galloway’s, who support over 7,000 blind and partially sighted people each year, have joined up with the leading manufacturers of low vision technology, to bring together a great selection of equipment, aids and support that can help people living with sight loss make the most of their vision.

Andrew Coleman, Assistive Technology Co-Ordinator at Galloway’s, commented, “The Galloway’s Low Vision Road Show is a fantastic event to attend if you’re vision is effecting your day to day living – maybe you can no longer read the newspaper or a book, maybe you struggle to make a cup of tea or perhaps you can no longer use a computer or tablet to access the internet?

Our Low Vision Roadshow will demonstrate the latest technology and aids that can help you make the most of your vision in your everyday living, exhibitors include Dolphin, Enhanced Vision, Orcam, Calibre Audio Library, British Wireless for the Blind and many more. Galloway’s is one of Lancashire’s oldest charities. Established in Preston in 1867, the charity has been supporting people with sight loss for over 150 years. Today, the charity supports over 7,000 people every year and offers support across Lancashire and Sefton, having to raise over £1million each year to
