Fund launched to save Daisy the Dog

10th July 2020

A local resident has launched a GoFundMe page to save her beloved French Bulldog.

Daisy has a ruptured disk in her lower spine and thinning of her right rear leg.

The family are hoping to raise £6000 for an MRI and operation to save Daisy.

Vickie told OTS News: “ I’m just in bits over it all.

The GoFundMe page explains: “During lockdown Daisy’s insurance was up for renewal and we always shop around for different prices and purchase new insurance but with lockdown, homeschooling two children (one of which has special educational needs), my own studies (teacher training) and my partner still working it completely slipped my mind. I feel tremendous regret and guilt about this and I haven’t been able to stop crying. ”

“I am a student and my partner is the only one working we have 2 children so we just don’t have that sort of cash available.

“Daisy is our family pet, my children love her so much as do we. She is usually such an active, affectionate and happy little dog who loves chasing her ball this is just awful!!

“I am determined not to give up and to try and help her any way I can. Asking people for help isn’t usually something that I would do but this was suggested to me by a number of people one of which told me to swallow my pride and embarrassment because it’s not about me so here I am!”
