Former Southport restaurant owner attacked after court appearance

The daughter of an ex Southport restaurant owner has sensationally claimed her dad has been attacked because of negative reviews of his restaurant.

Salvatore Trecharici was in court this week and pleaded guilty to a number of food hygiene violations.

However the much loved owner has apparently since been verbally abused and even threatened with physical violence in the aftermath of the case shortly after 5.30pm this evening outside the former Salvatore premises on Lord Street.

Kind hearted passers by stepped in to stop him being abused but his daughter Sophie has since posted to Facebook that his attackers should be ashamed.

She said: “Someone walked up to my father and started to verbally abuse him and then tried to attack him physically”.

“He was left shook up and the incident was reported to police”.

The restaurant has changed it’s name to 519 Lord Street and since been taken by Ronald Garner who also owns the popular nearby Spiga Italia restaurant on Bold Street.
