Food review | Veronica’s scores 10/10 for taste sensation

Southport’s hottest place for food and drink has done it once again.

Not counting its wild terrace parties, Instagrammable bar or the mouth watering brunch, Veronica’s has been hailed for its new 2 courses for ONLY £12.95 menu.

Intrigued and very much hungry, Jacques Aubergine, our rotund food critic, went down to discover what it was all about.

“Starting with a very refreshing glass of white, my tastebuds were pricked at this delectable menu of treats, crafted by two local chefs Paul De-Brett and Adam Stewart.

First to grace my pallet was an amazing starter of Goats Cheese served with rosemary, toasted focaccia and a most delightful red onion marmalade.

If starters are the gateway to taste heaven then the main of my choice was confirmation of my arrival in food nirvana.

The baby back ribs with peppers and onions accompanied by straw fries is the ideal plate when you are not in the mood for a stuffy meal. Perfected in portion and refined in taste, I was left wanting more only for the fact it was so delicious.

My dining partner, for the record, chose a slightly lighter alternative, a mouth watering goats cheese pasta.

The service standard was mirrored by the food, with staff attentive and only too happy to suggest wines and drinks pairings with our meals.

A fantastic experience and one that should be enjoyed by all.
